The Story of Clearwater

Having spent the majority of my adult life writing emails for a large global corporation, I
recently decided it was time to start out on a journey to see if I could pen a full-length novel
that was actually good enough to get published. I was under no illusion that I was some
undiscovered JK Rowling or that my writing was ever likely to make me rich and famous.
However, from this dream slowing emerged Clearwater Lake and Ithaka, two 80,000-word
mystery novels, plus a growing portfolio of published shorter works. My style pulls from
many different influences, but the closest I can come to assigning a genre is to describe it as
noir-fiction ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noir_fiction ). When not writing I spend my
time being ordered around by my two teenage daughters, guzzling craft beer with my wife
Gina and following the latest sporting mishaps of Leeds United.
